DESCRIPTION
The second in a series looking back on hidden masterpieces of Toshiba EMI using analog records. This time, we have released 5 titles that have rock-like elements!
Lead vocalist Nakuni Yoshida’s singing voice is reminiscent of her former Minako Yoshida, and this is the third album by Freebo, a band that has been highly praised by music fans across generations. A group with a good taste that exudes an earthy charm similar to Carole King and Happy End. Their first independent album, ‘From the Gap’ (1996), was extremely shocking, with a dynamic folk-rock sound reminiscent of Neil Young and The Band, an innovative style unlike any other. The following year, he made his major debut in 1997 and released ‘Freebo ’97’ (1997), and this album ‘Smoking Blues’ (1998) with Kenta Hagiwara as co-producer. The sound received a great response. After that, they released a series of great albums, including ‘Blue Moon’ (2000), but after a while they went on hiatus. Original release: 1998
